About Every Body Yoga and Barre
Welcome to our website! My name is Kristin from Every Body Yoga and Barre. I am so proud and privileged to offer premier fitness solutions in the heart of Bethel, Maine.
I believe that every body deserves to feel great in life, and that much of this originates from how we feel about ourselves. In our busy and hurried lives, we can become so easily disconnected with the vessels in which we live- our bodies. As a result and all too often, our basic health and fitness needs fall to the wayside. In my classes, I strive to create a welcoming environment where students from all fitness levels may journey inward, reconnect with themselves, awaken their authentic power, ignite passion for growth, aspire to new fitness and wellness heights, and as a result, inspire others to do the same. When we invest in ourselves, we free up and activate new space in mind and body, and are then more able to give to others. In this process, we realize that investing in ourselves is a beautiful gift that keeps on giving!
Every Body Yoga and Barre classes help build strength and flexibility in mind and body. The yoga classes are of power vinyasa style where students flow fluidly from one pose into another. The classes focus on breath as foundation, which is the most powerful tool for releasing layers of built-up stress, as well as for building internal heat. It is a very energetic practice on many levels; it accesses energy in students that may often lie stuck or dormant, releases energy of built-up stress, and creates energy in flexibility, vitality, confidence, and more. The benefits of Every Body Yoga are very power-ful, yet classes are accessible to all levels of practitioner.
At their fingertips, students also have access to the added compliments that our barre classes provide. Barre is a highly efficient and effective workout solution for total body. The classes target arms, abdominals, thighs, seat, and back through high repetitions of micro-movements. While the workouts are low-impact, students are challenged and achieve noticeable results in record time.
Both yoga and barre compliment one another extensively. While yoga nurtures the whole student and helps balance mind and body, barre offers accelerated changes in physique. My greatest goal through the combination of these classes is to help students feel reconnected and invested in their wellness, and as a result, live more vibrant lives on and off the mat.

About Kristin
I have been active in sports and wellness throughout my life. I played Division III field hockey and lacrosse and was a member of three NCAA championship-winning teams. After collegiate sports, I felt a void in my life and needed to find a new path and purpose for connecting with my athletic instincts.
Later, I discovered and fell in love with power yoga, which provided me great physical challenges, but also impacted me on a deeper level in mind, body, and spirit. In 2005, I achieved my 200-hour teacher training certification through CorePower Yoga, with classes inspired by the internationally renowned power yoga creator, Baron Baptiste. I have been teaching power yoga for over ten years, and since 2012, in Bethel, ME as an independent instructor.
In tandem with my love for yoga, I have remained active in many other fitness pursuits over the past decade. In the spring of 2015, I achieved my barre instructor certification at Rasamaya in Newburport, MA. Also, I continue to gain inspiration from and participate in the Booty Barre and Physique 57 methods. I am a firm believer in barre, as it is one of the select workout solutions that visibly enabled me to regain and rebuild my pre-pregnancy strength. I understand and have experienced the daunting challenges that many moms face in regaining their energy, motivation, and strength after having kids. It’s a very difficult process to let go of any guilt and prioritize ourselves each day, but through patience, determination, and persistence, it does become possible!
Whatever my students’ current fitness and wellness goals may be, my hope is to share the many gifts of yoga and barre with them and positively impact their journey to strength and vitality.
